Default vacation in november

Ive been planning on going on a vacation in November/December of this year. We are thinking about Cozumel Mexico. We found a really nice modern 4 star resort all inclusive. And this weekend we were told by various people that we should stay clear off Mexico due to recent violence/drugs. I found some conflicting information when it comes to that. I was told if we go to Mexico to stay in the resort and not go into towns. We do not plan on going into towns, but we would be interested in going to the ruins on a guided tour. What do you think? Have you been to Cozumel lately?ThanksI realize that I could be harmed anywhere in the world. But I dont think that Mexico should be in the same category as lets say Iraq.

Default vacation in november

I guess there are not many vacation rental owners on this forum. I happen to own properties on the NJ shore.

Hurricane Season would be a big hindrance for perfect vacations.
Why not visit other places instead?

Hurricane period is from June 1st to November 30th but most hurricanes take place during September -October. You should try Jamaica, Its awesome place and there are so many activities.

I think you will be OK on that date, and I will strongly recommend you Aruba, great island, amazing beaches, a little bit expensive, but all the Caribbean its...also, the one that Stennycillize named, Cozumel, is for me, the best destination in Mexico...

The hurricane season is coming to a close in Nov so it really shouldn't be a problem, but if you're worried then you should look at Aruba. It's so far south that it doesn't get affected. But I'm going to Jamaica next month (supposed to be prime hurricane time) and am I worried - no! I just want to have a great time! So my advice is don't worry just book a vacation and relax...

It seems that you have there an early plan for your vacation trip on the month of November. Well, I guess you just want to make it sure that you will have the most beautiful vacation trip. I think the month of November will be the start of winter season and I suggest, that you should bring coat.
