Smile Sandals Resort in the Bahamas???

My fiance and I were looking up all inclusive resorts in the bahamas earlier and we came across a couple that we really liked. The Sandals was probably our favorite but are there any other all inclusive resorts there that are as nice? And when is a good time to go to the bahamas? We are leaving in June of 09', and my fiance is a little worried about hurricanes. Should we be worried during late June? Please help...

At this time I would recommend Sandals Royal Bahamian as the nicest all inclusive in the main part of the Bahamas! The others are in the process of rennovations or in need of them! There are a few luxury boutique resorts in the out islands that have inclusive features that are
very
nice!

As far as the end of June & hurricanes...well the season typically runs from June 1 - December 1, but it's at it's worst usually September & October.

I'd recommend to purchase from your travel agent good travel insurance that will cover you in case a hurricane makes an unlikely appearance!

If you have any other questions about Sandals Royal Bahamian feel free to ask- I was there in March of last year and loved it!

Ta Jennifer

Thanks Jennifer, you helped reinforce the fact we were making the right decision by staying at the Sandels. Who should we talk to for a travel agent though???

I just wanted to say that I have been to that Sandals. My sister got married there about 4 years ago on June 9, and the weather was very nice. We didn't feel that we needed to worry about hurricanes. The staff is great and they treat you like kings and queens. They also did a great job with the wedding. I remember the beer there was called Kalik.

Sandals Resort in the Bahamas was our honeymoon site. As it was all-inclusive there was not a worry about carrying cash around. The liquor was free-flowing, the food was abundant and the entertainment was ultra-cool!

As it was a couples-only resort, you had the resort reserved to just that ... everyone was there to enjoy and not worry about anything or anyone.

Sandals also offers a "hurricane-guarantee" where if even for one day your booked package is interrupted by a hurricane, you're welcome to return to start your package again. Our wedding/anniversary is in the first part of November, just towards the end of "hurricane season," but we've not yet been interrupted. :-)

There are LOTS of spots to take memorable pictures. I included a few in this video set:

It's a VERY romantic place, with fun activities, and you get to meet a lot of cool couples. I highly recommend it as a great destination for honeymooners or those renewing their honeymoon!

Sandals resort is beautiful place for tourist. The moment your Rolls Royce pulls up to the stunning Georgian facade of Sandals Royal Bahamian–once the domain of a former king of England–you realize that you've entered a realm of sophisticated splendor.

Sandals has a great reputation and does a nice job at all of its resorts. Geared toward couples, lots of activities, great service, and all-inclusive. Great vacation property.
