Default Thailand safety

I'm going to Thailand next week, is it still safe to travel in Bangkok? It seems like all actions are taken place there and I just read that bombs went off in a government building earlier?

I plan to visit the reclining buddha, floating market, MBK, Khao San Road, will these places be affected?

Just avoid some places in Bangkok wherein several rallies are being so active, If I were you I would choose a beach location for a vacation than exploring the city life in Thailand it is much better and safer that way.

Ideally, you should find out information about where you would come. If it's not really safe, you should stay home. Or you equip yourself a phone capable of internet access to update information.
