Hi all. Me and my friend are booking our gap year this weekend. We will be leaving around october time to Thailand for 1 month and then Australia for 11 months. I was just wondering where are the best places to vist in Thailand? We will be arriving in Bangkok first but are unsure where else we could go. We want to go to one of the full moon parties, So if anyone could also recommend wheres best to go for the full moon party in Thailand I would appreciate that. Like I said, we start in Bangkok but have to make sure we end up back in Bangkok to get our flight over to Oz. Any help will be appreciated.
Regards, sheryl. |

When I was in Thailand we did not stay in Bangkok and went to Chiang Mai it's wonderful and we loved it so much. It' not resort beach area at all, but you can ride elephant, do rafting on the river, hike and still go to the market at night. I highly recommend you to visit Chiang Ma.

Yeah! chiang Mai, really it is one of the most beautiful place in Thailand and it is a tourist favorite place, but unfortunately there are also some beautiful places like the beautiful Chao Phraya River offers yet another vibrant and scenic view. The temples and palaces around town are must sees as well for any visitors.

I see Ayuthaya is a ideal destination in Thailand at present, Bangkok has demonstration between black and red shirt, we should avoid to travel Bangkok is best. In Ayuthaya, sure that you will be unforgettable warm country with friendly people, explore temples and palaces, Royal Arts and Crafts Village...

If you want to go to Bangkok try visiting Benjasiri Park, no admission fee needed. You can also try Chao Phraya River and have a dinner cruise on the river, my wife and I have a great time together having dinner here.

If you love beaches, you should go to Phi-Phi Island in Krabi province (Southern of Thailand) There are so many beautiful beaches and places to visit. Phuket is a bit crowded and more expensive, but this place is another must see, too.
Oh.. there will be Loy Kratong Festival in Chiang Mai (North of Thailand) in November. It is very fun and impresive festival to join. Chiang Mai is one of the best place that I recommend. I love it overthere, because this city has so many temples and arts to see. Thanks ![]()
