Hey, everyone. My fiancee and I are looking for relatively affordable (<$2000) mountain honeymoon destinations for the week of May 20, 2012. We've been blindly googling to try and find something, but I'd rather hear from someone who's done this before. Anyone have any suggestions on where to go? Thanks.

The first two that come to mind are Pocono Mountains or Smoky Mountains. A friend of mine celebrated a 10th anniversary at Western North Carolina Resort & Spa in the Smoky Mountains Near Bryson City and really loved it!

Colorado might be a good bet. Check sites like HereStay and HomeAway for available vacation rentals. They're usually priced fair and allow for a much more enjoyable vacation than hotels.
